Description

You will support the grant management and project development, by conducting desk analysis and research on specific topics relevant to mission (i.e. agro ecology,environment/climate change, etc.), supporting partner and coordination meetings and assisting the drafting process. Also, you will follow the project implementation through day-to-day project management and oversight, monitoring of project activities and draft monitoring reports. You will contribute to the organization of program events and initiatives, networking with project partners and key stakeholders and provide inputs to the Communications Officer for the preparation of publications, research, information materials, newsletters, human stories etc. donor project reports, and provide data visualization for mission webpage, brochures, fact sheets etc. and for donors and support the mapping of actors and potential partners in specific fields and sectors.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation, travel costs, visa, pre-deployment medical check + vaccinations (if mandatory for the country), allowance will be covered. In case of need, a Fewer Opportunities Support will also be covered.

Training during the activity

The Volunteer will attend online before and on-site induction at the arrival to her/his deployment Mission. Training during deployment will also be offered to improve the volunteer’s skills and competences.

Participant profile

You hold a bachelor’s degree in Humanitarian Assistance/Development, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology or other related degree and excellent knowledge of English (C1). Knowledge of FSL is an asset together with your fluency in Russian and/or French. You have excellent computer skills, knowledge of project cycle management, excellent writing analytical capacities; You are result oriented, proactive, creative, communicative and optimistic and have good interpersonal, networking and communication skills; You understand humanitarian concepts and principals and possibly have knowledge and experience of volunteerism.
