Description
Working with youngsters, chatting about their interests, leading games, playing movies or discussing about music and other stuff are things that you would like to do? How about joining our project? What will you get? The chance of meeting youngsters in villages of Romania, the chance to befriend them, to talk to them about their and your interests, about EU opportunities but also about music, arts, sports and many other topics. You will also get accommodation, an allowance, materials for activities, international working environment, friends and lots of different experiences. Yes, we are looking for you. You just need to know at least basic English, to be social and willing to live in rural Romania for 6-10 months. If you have a drivers license its awesome because you can be more mobile and you get the chance to drive our Mobile Youth Centre (check Tinemobilul on insta and fb), but its not mandatory to have a drivers licence.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
- reimbursement of travel costs up to 180/275/360 euro in the end of the stay (or you can travel green and the budget is higher, ask us for details) - accommodation in a traditional house together with the rest of the volunteers, taking care of the house (from cleaning to cutting gras and making fire) and living independent (managing your food and monthly budget). - food allowance and pocket money in order to purchase all the needed things for your independent life. - local transport bus permits and car when needed for activities
Training during the activity
We are providing a variety of trainings and workshops during the service such as but not limited to: - mentor support, for your learning process - language training - coordination, materials for activities and equipment - task-related trainings such as teambuilding, health and security, event management, basic youthwork and group dynamics, communication etc - any other trainings that our organization holds and that they are suitable for volunteers
Participant profile
- is between 18 and 30 years old - is available for 6-10 months of mobility - is motivated to do international volunteering - is strongly motivated to live and work in rural area - is interested in learning a different European language - is motivated to work with children and young people - is motivated to develop new competences and to learn about community development - has at least basic English communication skills Note: we are looking for 3-4 volunteers to work together.
