Description
This organisation in a charming town in the South-Eest of Turkey is looking for volunteers to work with children and learn everything about local traditions, food, handcrafts and more.
Your main activities will be working with children as an assistant in English classes and speaking clubs both in schools and in the community center which is aimed at children and youth of less priviliged backgrounds. We have different local partners that we team up with, so you will get in touch with children and youth in different situations. You will also help organise small events and celebrations such as walks, excursions, cultural nights and sports activities. The organisation also organises training programs, seminars and conferences for the older youth.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The association has a flat for volunteers’ accommodation. There are several rooms which have 2,3 or 4 beds . The kitchen, toilets, and living room are for common use.
You will get a daily food allowance of €6 and another €6 per day as pocket money.
Training during the activity
Besides the regular ESC trainings you will attend trainings, activities and workshops about sustainability and recycling, handcraft, content creation and effective social media use.
Participant profile
– Flexible, open-minded, tolerant, communicative
– Preferably having experience as a local volunteer
– Willing to participate in teamwork
– At least having beginner-level of English knowledge
