Description

Eco Logic, an NGO based in Skopje, North Macedonia, will offer a 6-month opportunity for 1 ESC Volunteer aged 18 to 30 to contribute to environmental sustainability and community outreach. Volunteers will: - Conduct workshops and create educational materials on sustainability. - Inspire youth through social media, blogs, and community activities. - Organize eco-friendly events like clean-ups and bike tours. - Support research and develop resources for community projects.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Eco-Logic will provide volunteers with safe and comfortable accommodation in Skopje, North Macedonia, ensuring an easy transition into their new environment. Participants receive monthly allowance to cover food and personal expenses as part of the European Solidarity Corps support. Local transportation costs are fully covered, with options such as public transportation passes or bicycles made available. Volunteers are also offered basic Macedonian language courses to enhance their daily interactions. These arrangements aim to create a supportive and convenient experience for all.

Training during the activity

Eco-Logic will hold comprehensive training to equip volunteers with the skills and knowledge needed for their activities. Pre-departure and on-arrival training sessions familiarize participants with Eco-Logic’s mission, values, and goals, as well as practical guidance for living in North Macedonia. A mid-term evaluation and reflection session helps volunteers assess their progress and share experiences with their peers. The program emphasizes skill-building in sustainability, community outreach, and event organization, while volunteers also receive a Youthpass certificate documenting

Participant profile

The participant profile for the ESC volunteer in Eco-Logic includes individuals aged 18 to 30 who are passionate about sustainability and environmental action. Participants should have a clean criminal record due to working with children and be open to engaging with diverse communities regardless of race, gender, or education level. They are expected to have strong motivation for community engagement and a willingness to contribute innovative ideas to the program. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about gaining experience in organizing eco-friendly events, educational workshops, and promoting sustainable practices.
