AMSED welcomes volunteers as part of the European Solidarity Corps organised by the European Erasmus + programme. This voluntary work will take place in Strasbourg. The aim of this volunteering project is to offer interactive, intercultural activities for children and young people in Strasbourg's "disadvantaged" neighbourhoods, in conjunction with local associations. Through sports, DIY, artistic or linguistic activities, the volunteer will promote intercultural exchange with these young people. The aim of this voluntary work is also to improve the key skills of young people who have the opportunity to promote their inclusion and participation in society through various digital activities and by taking an active part in AMSED's activities.

Training during the activity

- pre departure workshops : These preparation workshops cover a range of essential topics to ensure that you are well prepared for your volunteering project. - 2 days of training will be provided on your arrival : This hands-on training will enable you to familiarise yourself with the city of Strasbourg, understand the aims of volunteering, discuss cultural issues, prepare for your assignments and tasks, and answer any questions you may have. - 2 tutors : one from the sending association and one from the host associatiton, to ensure that your volunteering and your well-being go well.

Participant profile

Participants aged between 18 and 30 who are motivated to take part in a short-term ESC volunteering in Strasbourg, and who wish to share their artistic, social, cultural and digital skills. The volunteer will be involved in sports, cultural and artistic activities with young people and children in Strasbourg's disadvantaged neighbourhoods. The volunteer will also be expected to be flexible in terms of the tasks assigned, and open to interculturality, exchange and cultural diversity.
