Description

This program aims to develop participants' skills such as creativity, group cooperation, digital transformation, environmentally friendly skills, problem solving abilities and intercultural communication in order to contribute to the social awareness process and to strengthen their career competencies. Some of the activities are : Providing science, arts, sports and language education to disadvantaged youth and children, Natural life protection activities (planting, bee breeding, renewable energy applications, etc.), Providing psychosocial support to earthquake victims, Carrying out humanitarian aid activities, Organising activities for social clubs (music, painting, sports, language) Organising events and meetings for disadvantaged groups (orphans, refugees, economically disadvantaged etc.) Organising vocational courses for disadvantaged women and youth Organising activities such as cycling tours, nature walks, nature camps for young people and adults.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation rooms are organised for 2-3 persons. Nutrition needs will be provided by our organisation in our facilities and three meals will be provided. In addition, the amount of travel support specified in the 2023 ESC application guide will be provided according to the distance band. If necessary, visa, residence permit and other exceptional expenses of the participants will also be covered by our organisation. Travel reimbursement: Participants need to buy travel tickets by themselves. Ticket fees will be paid back at the end of the project. (Flexible depends on participants)

Training during the activity

Participants will develop their creativity, use of technology, teamwork and time management. They will be guided by mentors and experts who will provide a social scientific perspective to improve their problem solving skills. Topics such as digital transformation, new media, environmental sustainability, green skills and democratic participation will also form part of the trainings. All training processes will be planned together in line with the needs of the participating volunteer.

Participant profile

The characteristics sought for young people who will volunteer in our organisation are: Ability to participate effectively in group work, flexible and open to co-operation Active and effective communication skills, High sense of social responsibility, sensitive to individuals at different levels, Capable of adapting to innovations and changes, Have digital competences and can use technology effectively, Have different skills or interests (arts, sports, language, environment, media, science, etc.)
