Description
TECHO Honduras works with 12 communities around the country, 7 communities located in the north of the country. In each community, TECHO implements the institution's work model and develops housing programmes and community infrastructure projects in cooperation with the neighbours of the communities. The volunteer will be support with the design and implementation of the area's local strategy, guaranteeing a community development approach in all processes and actions carried out by the organisation in the communities. Together with the territorial team, s/he will accompany the processes of opening communities, monitoring the expansion and coverage strategy, implementing the Working Groups with the corresponding cycle of diagnosis, action plan and execution of projects in the communities. In coordination with the other territorial areas, s/he will support the development of community infrastructure projects and other community development projects.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Working conditions are: On-site and Remote work / Flexible working hours / Constant visits to the community / Institutional mail tool and library drive. Living conditions: Accommodation / Transport to community visits and visits to regional headquarters. The volunteer will receive a monthly per diems of 700€ to cover their food and other expenses.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support and will be provided with training resources to continue their learning. The person selected will receive briefings/training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations.

Minimum requirements: Good knowledge of the Spanish language; Professional graduate or student preferably in social sciences degrees (psychology, social work, sociology and others), architecture, engineering or similar. Experience in project design and implementation; Experience leading teams and training spaces; Experience working in Community Development processes.
