ADRA OPS

ADRA Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia

Description

ADRA Serbia is humanitarian organization dedicated to reducing poverty and protection of vulnerable people. By partnering with communities and organizations, we can improve the quality of life of Roma people, homeless, and young people leaving care, through our programs in education, economic empowerment, and protection. Psycho-social support, prevention, and protection from gender-based violence is mainstreamed in the projects. We are looking for volunteers who will take part in brainstorming campaigns focused on vulnerable groups with the aim of motivating citizens for solidarity, active engagement, and support to vulnerable groups. You will assist in the creation of a communication plan and also be encouraged to do research on innovative ways and tools for communication and to pilot it. Other tasks will include organizing the events and preparing fact sheets, releases, information materials, newsletters, and human-interest stories.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We will provide you with appropriate accommodation. You might share the accommodation with another volunteer in a situation when deployments overlap. You will have your own lockable room. The accommodation will be near our Community Center, near your workspace. The Community Center is 13 km (about 8.08 mi) away from the city center. The public lines to the city center are very frequent (every 5-15 minutes, depending on the public transport line). You will be provided with a monthly allowance of 450 EUR to cover the expenses for food and transport.

Training during the activity

ADRA Serbia will ensure initial orientation training and ongoing training, always encouraging self-assessment and adjustment of arrangements to have a maximum positive impact. Your learning and development are important to us! So, you will have the opportunity and be encouraged to attend various training workshops in various modalities. Most of the trainings ADRA offers to its staff are related to the specific groups and how to work with them – homeless people, young people leaving care. We will be glad also to hear from you about your interests also, and try to find perfect fit.
