IFM-SEI is looking for two enthusiastic and active members to volunteer with European Solidarity Corps in Brussels for 12 months from April 2025 until March 2026. What would I do? We are looking for two long-term volunteers to join our Secretariat in Brussels. This is a unique opportunity to work in an international environment, develop new skills, and gain experience in youth work, communications, and project management. As a volunteer, you will collaborate with organisations and young people from around the world while contributing to the work of IFM-SEI. We are looking for 1. Projects and Communications Volunteer and 1. Projects and Fundraising Volunteer
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The position is voluntary, however there is financial support for the volunteer by the means of: • Accommodation in Brussels (in a shared flat/house); • An allowance that includes money for meals, local transport and pocket money; • Travel costs to Brussels • Insurance for the whole year; • A language course (French or Dutch); • European Solidarity Corps training programme and lots of training and development opportunities within IFM-SEI and our member organisations; • Economic and logistic support with visas (if needed);
Training during the activity
During your experience you will have the opportunity to join the training programmes offered by the JINT National Agency in belgium, as well as other training opportunities from the EYF, EC and EP. More over you will support IFM-SEI and learn about european and international projects, youth-friendly communication and fundraising mechanisms for NGOs.
Participant profile
We are seeking: 🔹 Projects and Communications Volunteer (1) • Supporting the communication of IFM-SEI’s work through social media, newsletters, and website updates. • Assisting in the creation of educational materials and reports. • Engaging with member organisations to promote activities and opportunities. • Contributing to project development, reporting, and evaluation. • Coordinate logistical arrangements of projects and administrational tasks. • Maintain regular communication with member organisations and volunteers. • Contribute to the daily running of the secretariat. • Support the coordination of international campaigns and the production of educational resources and materials. 🔹 Projects and Fundraising Volunteer (1) • Assisting in fundraising efforts, including researching funding opportunities and supporting grant applications. • Contributing to project development, reporting, and evaluation. • Coordinate logistical arrangements of projects and administrational tasks. • Maintain regular communication with member organisations and volunteers. • Contribute to the daily running of the secretariat. • Support the coordination of international campaigns and the production of educational resources and materials.
