T.e.so.ri. is available to welcome 5 volunteers for 6 months. 3 volunteers will rotate in 3 different structures (mother-child community, community for mildly disabled and resocialization community for adults) in San Damiano d’Asti, while 2 volunteers will be in Asti (mother-child community). The volunteers will be involved in various activities, always carried out with the guests and under the supervision of an operator. DAILY ASSISTANCE: preparing meals, cleaning, maintaining the house, processing agricultural products, participating in horticultural activities, accompanying guests, assisting children, and sometimes supporting our other communities. Organizing walks, trips, workshops, parties, helping with homework, language mediation. AUTONOMY: planning and leading an activity in the second half of the project, and presenting the ESC at the local high school. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Food, accommodation, health insurance and pocket money are provided by the European Solidarity Corps programme. The volunteers will stay in a private apartment located near the communities, one in San Damiano d'Asti and one in Asti. The accommodation has a fully equipped kitchen (food is provided weekly by the Association through collective spending), a living room, a bathroom, and a double room. Volunteers will have bicycles and bus tickets when needed. During the service, volunteers will share a meal with operators and guests.
Training during the activity
For the first half of the project, the focus will be on: language learning, mutual knowledge, individual resources and limits, knowledge of the territory and local culture. For the second half: achieving greater security (in service and the territory), knowledge of local peculiarities, including cultural ones, and planning its activity with users. Finalisation of the Youthpass and evaluation of output skills. Participate in regular training meetings (mentoring and mentoring meetings, specific training, training of association volunteers, meetings, audits, etc.)
Participant profile
Young people between 18 and 30 years old; - Motivated to participate in volunteer activities in the social, agricultural and sustainability fields; - With the ability to be flexible and adapt to different activities; - Open to learning from new results and adopting new behaviors; - With a sense of responsibility; - Empathetic and aware of the needs and challenges of communities; - Capable of organizing; - Interested in a simple and understated lifestyle.
