ESC Volunteering Teams in Estonia at Nõva village

MTÜ NOORTEVAHETUSE ARENGU ÜHING ESTYES

Nõva village, Lääne-Nigula municipality, Estonia

Description

For 15 years, EstYES and Lukas Basket sports club have run youth activity camps in scenic Nõva, North-West Estonia. These camps bring together around 150 participants each year, offering an exciting mix of sports, outdoor activities, and community service. Before the camp season begins, there is a lot of preparation needed to create a welcoming and well-maintained environment. This is where our European Solidarity Corps volunteers come in! From May 15 to May 30, we seek to gather a team of 12 volunteers who will contribute their energy and skills to prepare the camp area, support the local community, and help with environmental conservation. In addition to preparing the camp facilities, volunteers will engage in meaningful activities, such as assisting elderly residents, cleaning public spaces, and planting trees in collaboration with the local forestry department. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be accommodated in wooden huts located on the school grounds, offering a simple but comfortable stay close to nature. The huts are equipped with bunk beds, and volunteers are required to bring their own sleeping bags. All necessary facilities, including showers and toilets, are available at the school. Additionally, volunteers will have access to a traditional Estonian sauna, a perfect way to relax after a day of volunteering. Meals will be provided by a professional cook in the school’s kitchen and served to the volunteers. The menu will include nutritious and balanced meals
