Description

Aim of RCWG is to promote the idea of volunteering and civic engagement for the benefit of organizations, institutions, and individuals,as well as to provide comprehensive support for people interested in such activities. We are looking for 2 volunteers to support our organization in daily tasks and in implementing city-wide events related to volunteering, such as: Gdańsk Volunteer Week, Hour for Gdańsk, the Seniors Parade, charity events,etc. Both volunteers will also assist in promoting the ESC program by organizing and participating in presentations about ESC, writing social media posts about their experiences and preparing promotional materials. One volunteer will support the ESC coordinator and everyday tasks in particular in preparing and organizing group ESC projects, integration meetings for ESC volunteers, support in the Erasmus+ projects. Second volunteer will assist the coordinator of school volunteering projects in promoting the idea of volunteering in local schools.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers live in a rented flat, equipped with basic necessities, and share a double room with one roommate. Volunteers receive monthly financial support: pocket money and a food allowance. Travel costs for work-related purposes are reimbursed (single tickets or transport card charging). Travel to/from Gdańsk and your home country is covered based on the Erasmus+ distance calculator. Activity dates: 16.04.2025 – 16.01.2026 – volunteer to support coordinator ESC. 06.05.2025 – 31.03.2026 – volunteer to support coordinator of School volunteering projects.

Training during the activity

Before coming, volunteer will receive support in preparation and Pre-departure training from supporting organization (home country organization). After arriving, volunteer will have support of coordinator from RCWG and will be introduced into the activities of organization. During the project, volunteer can take part in 2 training sessions (depends on the duration of mobility): 1. ON ARRIVAL - to find out more about volunteering in Poland 2. MID TERM - to evaluate achievements There will be organized evaluation meetings each 1-2 month in the office of RCWG.

Participant profile

Our projects are generally open to young people who want to become volunteers in the 18-30 age range. Previous work experience and qualifications (especially in office work and doing presentations) may be useful. We are looking for dynamic, sociable, responsible, elastic people, who will help in office tasks. You should also be keen to work with different target groups. Participants MUST be interested in working in VOLUNTARY FIELD. We offer wide range of activities which are based on various competences and give the opportunity for personal grow. As volunteers will also conduct activities for youngsters we search for candidates without criminal records and addictions. Due to Polish Law volunteer will need to have certificate of no criminal record from his National Criminal Register.
