Description

Established in 2009, the NOVA Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting lifelong learning, community development, and social inclusion. Our mission is to create and implement high-quality educational programs that enhance opportunities for individuals of all ages, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Tasks for ESC Volunteer at NOVA Foundation: Neighbourhood Club: help coordinator in organizing and providing activities in NC, prepare and do own activities, preparation and cleaning workshop space before and after activity; Do English Lessons for the local community, seniors from NC and Staff; Senior Education activities; Manage Social Media of Fundacja Nova; Daily Office Maintenance (perform daily cleaning tasks to keep the office tidy and welcoming). Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers live in a rented flat, equipped with basic necessities, and share a double room with one roommate. Volunteers receive monthly financial support: pocket money and a food allowance. Travel costs for work-related purposes are reimbursed (single tickets or transport card charging). Travel to/from Gdańsk and your home country is covered based on the Erasmus+ distance calculator.

Training during the activity

Before coming, volunteer will receive support in preparation and Pre-departure training from supporting organization (home country organization). After arriving, volunteer will have support of coordinator from RCWG and will be introduced into the activities of organization. During the project, volunteer can take part in 2 training sessions (depends on the duration of mobility): 1. ON ARRIVAL - to find out more about volunteering in Poland 2. MID TERM - to evaluate achievements There will be organized evaluation meetings each 1-2 month in the office of RCWG.

Participant profile

Our projects are generally open to young people who want to become volunteers. Previous work experience and qualifications (especially in kids animation or in contact with seniors) may be useful but not necessary. We are looking for dynamic, creative, sociable, responsible and patient people. You should also be keen to work with different target groups especially seniors and kids. Participants MUST be interested in working in VOLUNTARY FIELD. Knowledge of Canva, Adobe, Google Ads, photography is an asset. As volunteers will also conduct activities for kids we search for candidates without criminal records and addictions. Due to Polish Law volunteer will need to have certificate of no criminal record from his National Criminal Register.
