Youth engagement staff assistant at the "Police Club for Youth"

Viešoji įstaiga "Socialinis veiksmas"
Vilniaus policijos klubas vaikams ir jaunimui
Vilnius, Lithuania
Description
Join our unique children and youth club, established by the police on January 31st, 2001, to combat drug addiction and criminal activity. We provide vital social, psychological, and material support while organizing engaging activities for young people. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers for two branches of our organization: the Justiniškės centre and the Grigiškės centre. In Justiniškės, you will provide afternoon support for children aged 7-14 (e.g. help with homework, cook food, organise non-formal skill development activities) and evening support for youth aged 14+ (e.g. organise workshops). In Grigiškės, you will work closely with social workers to provide support and organize engaging activities that motivate and inspire children, including museum visits, outdoor sports, cooking, and non-formal skill development. You will also assist with administrative tasks for both branches. You'll have the rewarding opportunity to directly impact the lives of young people!
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
As a volunteer in Vilnius, you will have the opportunity to be hosted in a comfortable flat alongside other like-minded volunteers who share your passion for community service. You will have your own private room, providing a space for rest and relaxation. You will also get: - a monthly bus card; - a monthly stipend for food and pocket money; - a team of dedicated professionals, including a mentor for personal support, a project coordinator to help you get the most out of your experience, and a tutor from the hosting organization to guide you every step of the way.
Training during the activity
Maximize your potential and make the most of your volunteer experience with our comprehensive support system! As a volunteer, you will receive On-Arrival and Mid-Term trainings organized by the National Agency, as well as regular meetings with our dedicated Coordinating Organization. We understand that reflection is key to personal growth, which is why hosting organisation offers regular reflection sessions. These sessions provide a safe and supportive environment to share your experiences, learn from one another, and grow both personally and professionally.
Participant profile
We're looking for passionate and energetic volunteers to join our team! If you're self-motivated, proactive, and excited to tackle new challenges, you'll thrive here. You'll be part of a vibrant community, collaborating with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, requiring flexibility and a can-do attitude. We need someone with strong social, teamwork, and organizational skills, and a genuine love for outdoor and creative activities. If you're comfortable connecting with young people in informal settings and have a knack for building rapport, we want to hear from you! Bonus points if you speak Russian! Specifically, at our Grigiškės branch, where we have a lively group of boys, we need someone with plenty of energy and patience, ready to engage and inspire. The selection process includes two interviews: the first with our coordinating organization, Social Action, and, if you meet the initial criteria, a second interview with the dedicated staff of the Police Club.
