Description
Youth centre is located in municipality of Domžale, with river Kamniška Bistrica flowing through it. It has many bridges and underpasses which will serve us as a canvas for expressing creative art ideas. Graffitiing was also a part of local youth initiative in preparing municipal Youth strategy and we want to make it a reality. This project provides you with the opportunity for expressing yourself through art, gain new knowledge, skills, experiences and at the same time you will leave positive footprints in our local community. No special knowledge is needed because there will be art mentors, who will guide you through the process. Just be prepared to learn, work outside and put ideas into practice. ESC projects represent big learning opportunity, you will receive certificate of attendance and Youthpass, in which all new skills and knowledge will be described. Beside that you will meet new friends from European countries, improve your english skills and get to know Slovenia.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will be accommodated in the hostel Hiša na travniku, which is located in Dob. The distance to the Youth Center and the centre of Domžale is approximately 10-15 minutes by bus or 40 minutes on foot. Each volunteer will receive money for food and other neccesaries (196€/month) and also pocket money (5€/day). Local transport will be paid by Youth Centre Domžale and the travel costs will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance calculator.
Participant profile
We are looking for a volunteer who is / has: - MOTIVATED TO DO GRAFFITI, CREATE SOMETHING NEW AND LEAVE FOOTPRINTS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY - A SENSE OF CREATIVITY - SOME PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF GRAFFITI MAKING (NOT NECESSARY) - PREPARED TO WORK OUTSIDE - ENJOY THE COMPANY OF OTHER VOLUNTEERS AND LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE - OPEN TO GET TO KNOW NEW PEOPLE AND CULTURES - AGED 18 TO 30 YEARS - FLUENT IN ENGLISH
