Description

Our project takes place in the city Baia Mare &other rural & urban communities, within AIST & local partner premises. Topics: inclusion & equality, empowering communities, participation & involvement, participatory democracy, rights & equity, social social justice. Activities & events are contributing to creating open, caring & creative communities, belonging to their citizens. How: several youth mobilities, both on-line and face-2-face activities, with diverse target groups: primary, secondary, to students. start dates: 1. April - May 2. May - June 3. July - August 4. September - October 2026 TEAM "short term" 59 days project, with groups of 5-10 young people from all over Europe, youth learn to plan, assist in & implement activities of non-formal education, focusing on key European values, social inclusion and sustainable development of various beneficiaries, from both urban & rural communities, in the county of Maramures, Transylvania, north - western part of Romania.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Travel: project coordinator informs counterparts/volunteers on travel routes & prices to match set budget. AIST reimburses eligible travel costs according to the project budget & EU Calculator ratios for distance bands, upon provision of transport documents. Accommodation: Volunteers will be hosted in safe lodging within Baia Mare area, all facilities, utilities & food allowance included, plus volunteer's pocket allowance, training courses, individual/reinforced mentoring.

Training during the activity

Learning environment & outcomes: volunteers gain diverse social & educational skills & competences, useful for upcoming educational/training & employment opportunities. They will be involved in designing & implementing activities of social inclusion through non-formal educational methods practiced daily. Volunteers will learn to plan, implement & adjust educational activities for children & youth, typical & underprivileged, from urban & rural environments as well. Volunteers also learn to be more flexible, adapt to changes as unexpected situations come up despite planning.

Participant profile

Volunteers should be over 18 years old, primarily with fewer opportunities and need to be interested in learning and personal development, enjoy working with kids & youth, be open and tolerant to other cultures. Flexibility is required, as you'll work in a multicultural environment as part of an international team. Being responsible, positive, energetic, communicative and a basic level of English is desirable to ease communication during project activities & within the international project team of staff & volunteers.
