Description
MMRH in Georgia focuses on peacebuilding and conflict resolution in the South Ossetia region. It collaborates with international and local NGOs to promote dialogue and confidence-building for internally displaced persons. The organisation supports local youth initiatives, strengthens civil society in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, and works with Ukrainian refugees. Our projects are designed to address the problems of internally displaced persons and refugees in Georgia and focus on empowering women and youth. The Volunteer focusing on youth work and non-formal education initiatives should have experience in Programme development (Design and organise workshops on life skills and personal development), Facilitation and Mentorship (Lead activities, guide youth, and provide mentorship), Community engagement, Capacity Building, Monitoring and evaluation, Advocacy and Awareness, Resource Development for youth. The volunteer will have a mentor on site who will help to implement the activities.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
MMRH is located at Tserovani IDP Settlement, is a special village built for Georgian IDPs. The living conditions in the Settlement are the usual ones in this kind of environment. Basic services are accessible easily (water, electricity, gas is centralised). The speed of internet and connection is stable. The volunteer will receive a monthly allowance of 450 € to cover their food and other expenses. Accommodation, return flights, visa and vaccination costs, basic equipment (laptop and mobile phone) will be provided.

Participant profile
Required competences: - Written and communication skills; - Details and deadlines oriented; - Collaboration and teamwork; - Able to work independently and work as part of a team; - Genuinely motivated to contribute; - A willingness to learn; - Respect and diligence. Minimum requirements: - Degree and experience as social worker; - Fluent in English; - Autonomy, flexibility and adaptation; - Willingness to accept the local context; - Motivation to work. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
