Erfurt, Germany

Description

CGE Erfurt e.V. is a non-profit NGO running numerous large-scale international projects across Europe and globally. We collaborate with local activists, migrant communities, NGOs, and informal groups. Situated in the northern part of Erfurt, our office resides within a revitalized socio-cultural hub that hosts artists and various initiatives. We embrace a horizontal management approach, fostering a culture of inquiry, self-initiative, and shared responsibility among all members, including volunteers. This structure empowers individuals to actively engage in decision-making processes and take ownership of their roles within the organization. Recognising the diverse capacities and interests of our volunteers, we offer flexible task assignments and workloads tailored to each individual's strengths and aspirations. This personalised approach ensures meaningful engagement and allows volunteers to develop their skills while making a significant impact within our community.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

All volunteers in CGE are accommodated in a comfortable, fully equipped shared flat, located 5 min away from the city center. Each volunteers has own room. The food allowance and pocket money are given to the volunteers at the beginning of every month, based on the Erasmus+ regulations. Each volunteer is provided with a monthly ticket to travel around the city and/or a bike.

Training during the activity

Throughout the year, the volunteers accompany the project managers to learn from and with them. High emphasis is put on teamwork and co-creation during the conceptualisation and implementation of activities. The volunteers will additionally attend various local and national trainings to boost their skills and competences for future professional careers in non-profit management, project writing, facilitation or multimedia work. Mentor support is provided by former ESC volunteers, as well as ex-colleagues. Learn more about our projects and trainings: https://www.cge-erfurt.org
