Period: 01.09.–31.10.25 Team Generation/Create.U, part of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH, focuses on participation and program development for children, youth, and seniors. Their youth program, CREATE.U, helps young people develop and execute their own cultural projects through mentoring and workshops. The Create.U Team organizes workshops, group meetings, and leisure activities while managing program communication (e.g., Instagram). Additionally, they support solidarity-based projects for older generations, addressing their needs and promoting intergenerational cultural exchange—such as through an international "Conference of Generations." Your Role: Supporting the preparation and follow-up of "Gen C," a multi-day international youth festival in Chemnitz (October 2025). You’ll collaborate with young people (14–27 years) to help organize the event.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
-Accomodation in Zwickau or Chemnitz / Saxony Germany - hostel/flats -self catering -transfer from airport to the Hostel and back / +public transport ticket -organized seminar ( first seminar) ,language support -we pay for pocketmoney and catering money
Training during the activity
There is also a training program as part of our volunteer program. This is open to ESC participants. In addition to the exxtensive programms of the European Capital of Culture 2025 , first aid training, voice training, awareness and teamwork are also offerd. ESC participants will recieve a clear introduction to there specific areas of responsobility and can expand their skills in co- operation with our collaegues and professioal partners.

We’re looking for passionate volunteers who love bringing creative projects to life! If you’ve got skills in communication, event organizing, or production—awesome! Knowledge of social media or graphic design? Even better! A love for arts, culture, music, or theatre? Perfect—you’ll fit right in! We value self-starters who are reliable and ready to jump into the action. German language skills? A big plus, but not a must. Come share your energy and ideas with us—let’s create something amazing together!
