If you are interested please contact: Portugal - Aventura Marao Clube Spain - De Amicitia, Las Ninas del Tul France - Solidarites Jeunesses Volunteers will support San Giovanni Apostolo youth workers in summer activities, organizing workshops like games, sports events, creative labs, and educational workshops. These activities promote personal growth, social inclusion, and community engagement. Volunteers will also organize entertainment activities for kids at the youth center and participate in excursions, combining fun and educational moments
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be hosted in a hostel located in the city centre, in 4-bed shared rooms. Meals are provided by local restaurants, there is no kitchen available for cooking. InformaGiovani ETS will support for the local transport. The accomodation is located in Palermo city center. In their free time volunteers can visit Palermo and other nearby cities by using public transports.
Participant profile
Criminal record is mandatory to participate. Volunteers should have an interest in spending educational and recreational time with children, be patient, have empathy and good communication skills with young people. They are expected to be responsible since some activities will be implemented out of the youth center. As activities include sports, creative workshops and educational sessions, creativity and a proactive attitude are very welcomed. Strong teamwork skills are essential as volunteers will be working with staff and peers. Candidates must be 18 to 30 years old and reside in one of the eligible countries. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
