Description

The project aims to promote youth empowerment and a European sense of belonging through games, creativity, and non-formal education. Activities take place in museums, castles, and historic centers, involving children, families, and youth in interactive tours and roleplay games that bring local stories and heritage to life. Each participant is supported in activating their own potential through personal learning paths rooted in the territory, fostering meaningful cultural exchange. Volunteers co-create playful experiences using gamification, crafting, and youth work tools, learning while educating the community. Tou.Play has long worked to enhance its territory by involving youth in inclusive and creative ways. In this project, it collaborates with the Social Services of Bari, Spazio 13, the University of Bari Aldo Moro, and the Nodo Galattica of Bari, which focuses on youth activation and networking between local organizations. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The accomodation is a shared space with kitchen and bathroom in the city. The place is shared with other young people. Food will be provided weekly by the organisation and it will be self-cooked in the shared kitchen by volunteers. Tickets for buses and train will be provided by the organisation every time it will be needed.

Training during the activity

On the arrival day, the volunteers will have a full training about all the activities that the organization have, and they will have time to meet all the staff members and to get familiar with the spaces of work. The volunteers on this Training Day will be introduces to their coordinator and mentor All these main figures will play a key-role during the whole experience of the volunteers with us.

Participant profile

Volunteers involved needs to be active, highly motivated and with good communication skills. We are looking for a sensitive and emphatic person, since the volunteers will work in close contact with kids and young people coming from one of the most disadvantaged area of Bari. They will need to be self-motivated and with a cooperative attitude. Volunteers with great ability to adapt in new contexts and who is open to multicultural situations are preferred. Experience in the education field of kids and interests in gamification, arts, history, photography, and theatre would be preferred.
