Life-Education for the young
Deutsche Provinz der Salesianer Don Boscos - Jugendbildungsstätte Aktionszentrum
Benediktbeuern, Germany
Description
The Aktionszentrum, a youth education centre, focuses on preparing young people for their future. The centre hosts 250-300 youth each week and they participate in workshops around topics that concern young people such as politics, mental health, selfereflection. We are also active on an international level, sending around 35 young people abroad for volunteering projects around the world and welcoming up to 5 international volunteers each year. In this context we also host international seminars. The Aktionszentrum is based on a pedagogy that focuses on respecting, treasuring and upholding the value of each person as an individual. It is based on trust and understanding between the teenagers and the team. It is a very friendly and open work environment, where you will have a lot of freedom and varied opportunities. The volunteers work in the centre include: support the pedagogical activities, practical tasks around the guest house, free time activiies and individual projects.
