Description

Merhamet Sandžak is committed to empowering young people from vulnerable communities by helping them build the skills and confidence needed for their future. As a Youth Skill Development Volunteer, you’ll support youth in discovering their potential, exploring opportunities, and gaining practical tools for education and employment. // Key Responsibilities: • Provide basic career mentoring and skills advice to youth, including identifying strengths and setting goals. • Assist with CV writing, job or school applications, and interview preparation. • Map local opportunities for education, training, volunteering, and employment. • Help organize and lead informal workshops or sessions on career orientation and soft skills. • Motivate and encourage youth to explore their options and take proactive steps toward their goals. // No formal experience in career counseling is needed - just enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to support youth on their journey.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

All the costs associated with the volunteering will be covered by the grant. The volunteer will be provided round flight ticket and a lockable and safe apartment, with a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom in the city center near the office premises. In addition, the volunteer will receive a monthly allowance of €470 to cover other daily expenses such as meals, local transportation, communication, and other living necessities. Public transport is not commonly used, and the volunteer can use bicycles, walk, or even use public electric scooters.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will attend a pre-departure training to prepare for the opportunity, as well as an on-arrival training which will introduce the participants to the host country.
