Description

The volunteer will join the Training institute of the French Red Cross in Toulouse. He/she will: ssist in organizing events (e.g., Erasmus Days), Organize a themed day celebrating the volunteer’s home country, Lead an English language club create communication materials to promote mobility opportunities, develop and maintain a map of partner institutions, facilitate workshops to support learners in writing CVs and cover letters for mobility projects, support the organization of student mobility programs, promote and develop the "Europe Kiosk" information space. He/she will welcome and listen to Red Cross beneficiaries in solidarity activities that create social links, such as convivial snack moments, distribution of food aid, etc. The volunteer will be invited to propose a warm reception area to promote conviviality.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will have his own studio apartment in a student residence with free access to a gym. He/she will receive pocket money and money to buy food. He/she will by provided with a public transportation card.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will have the opportunity to take French lessons (in groups, up to level B2) on a weekly basis at the Local Unit of the French Red Cross in Toulouse. At the end of the course, students can take DELF french language certification test. During their placement, they will receive Level 1 Civil Protection and First Aid training (PSC).

Interest in youth mobility, international education, and community projects Willingness to share and represent their own culture in creative ways Open-minded, curious, and proactive. Interest in working with students and learners from diverse backgrounds. Strong motivation to promote intercultural dialogue and European values. Fluency English is desirable; an additional language is an asset. Curious and keen to learn, you will be able to demonstrate creativity and autonomy in your assignments.
