Description

Open Learning Paths is a 9-month project at the Liceo Daniele Manin, starting in September. Liceo Manin is a historical high school in the centre Cremona with two teaching pats, one focused on ancient languages (latin and greek) and one focused on modern languages (english, spanish, french, chinese, german. Volunteers will help with the school library and worksops related to the school activities. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be provided with fully equipped shared apartments located in the city centre, within proximity to the volunteering site. A monthly food allowance will be provided, and each volunteer will receive a bicycle to get around town. Travel expenses will be covered, with a preference for environmentally friendly travel options. To support their integration and activities, volunteers will have the guidance of a tutor and mentor, while a project coordinator will oversee the overall management of the project.

Training during the activity

Each project includes On Arrival Training (OAT) and Mid Term Evaluation (MTE) organized by the Italian National Agency. These sessions provide specific training on the project’s activities, alongside learning paths designed to help volunteers discover, understand, and recognise their skills, aptitudes, and competencies. Volunteers can also access online language support to learn Italian through the EU Academy platform and in-person courses. At the end of the service, all volunteers will receive a Youthpass certificate, documenting their achievements.

Participant profile

We are looking for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, communicative, sociable, and patient. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, eager to learn Italian, and comfortable working in a team. Flexibility and creativity are essential, as we value volunteers with unique hobbies, original ideas, and openness to different cultures. We welcome individuals with a strong drive to explore new experiences, curiosity about the world, and an interest in learning from diverse cultures. valued. Fluency in English is required, proficiency in Italian would be a valuable asset.
