Description
Re-Grown is a 12-month project in Brescia managed by Tempo Libero, starting in September. The volunteer will help manage the Ricolto project, which distributes surplus food to people in need. Activities include working with other volunteers to organise food donations, manage store inventory, handle day-to-day tasks in the store and participate in awareness campaigns on food waste. The volunteer will also assist with gardening and farming activities, promoting sustainability while working with local volunteers and asylum seekers. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be provided with fully equipped shared apartments located in the city centre, within proximity to the volunteering site. A monthly food allowance will be provided, and each volunteer will receive a bicycle to get around town. Travel expenses will be covered, with a preference for environmentally friendly travel options. To support their integration and activities, volunteers will have the guidance of a tutor and mentor, while a project coordinator will oversee the overall management of the project.
Training during the activity
Each project includes On Arrival Training (OAT) and Mid Term Evaluation (MTE) organized by the Italian National Agency. These sessions provide specific training on the project’s activities, alongside learning paths designed to help volunteers discover, understand, and recognise their skills, aptitudes, and competencies. Volunteers can also access online language support to learn Italian through the EU Academy platform and in-person courses. At the end of the service, all volunteers will receive a Youthpass certificate, documenting their achievements.

We are looking for volunteers who are dynamic, creative, communicative, sociable, and patient. Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, eager to learn Italian, and comfortable working in a team. Flexibility and creativity are essential, as we value volunteers with unique hobbies, original ideas, and openness to different cultures. We welcome individuals with a strong drive to explore new experiences, curiosity about the world, and an interest in learning from diverse cultures. valued. Fluency in English is required, proficiency in Italian would be a valuable asset.
