Currently looking for 5 volunteers - start June 30th / end August 20th Supporting ACARBIO and D.E.E.P. in several marine activities (monitoring of natural sites, guided visits, scientific studies, educational activities outdoor and indoor) The project is meant to host 5 volunteers that will commit themselves to the project for a duration of 50 days and that will work in a very dynamic environment. Volunteers will join environmental and cultural activities using both English and Italian. They’ll commit 30–40 hrs/week with 2 weekly days off (not always on weekends) and 2 extra monthly days to travel or relax. Tasks include education, clean-ups, conservation, and ecotourism. For the application is required a motivation video of 2 minutes that has to be sent through WeTransfer(mareapplication@gmail.com) in which you briefly explain who you are and why you believe to be the right person for the project. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The accommodation will be arranged in a shared apartment with other young people in the village of Nerano (Massa Lubrense). Rooms are shared. This apartment will be in a reasonable distance to the working places. All basic furniture and objects will be provided for. A set of rules are established for the accommodation and we expect volunteers to respect them. An amount of 150€ per month is guaranteed to each volunteer to cover food expenses.

Training during the activity

Participants will have an introduction to the tasks, projects and responsibilities they undertake. Several training sessions, will be provided to volunteers in order to give them the best tools to support our work;

Participant profile

We are looking for nature lovers with passion for the ocean, nature conservation and awareness about environmental issues. Candidates with degrees in marine science, biology or oceanography are welcome! Volunteers should be open-minded, curious and tolerant with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. We would like to host people with a particular interest and love for nature, the ocean, marine conservation, environmental education and outdoor activities to share this once-in-a-lifetime experience set in a multi-cultural context.
