Description

Alianza por la Solidaridad, a member of ActionAid, aims to achieve an active citizenship that fights against inequalities and for the recognition of human rights. It carries out development cooperation and education projects to eradicate gender-based violence, migrants' rights and for climate justice. Join us at our office in Bogota! The volunteer will support advocacy spaces and participate in cooperation and humanitarian aid projects, implementing communication strategies for both external and internal audiences. Additionally, they will carry out activities that help position the organization and its advocacy efforts in the media and on social networks. The volunteer will also support the development of projects that contribute to the sustainability of the organization and its advocacy initiatives.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will have the opportunity to live in a family home with a private room, access to shared services, Wi-Fi, a mobile communication card, and the residence is close to the office with convenient access to local transportation. You will receive a monthly allowance of 607,98€ for your personal expenses, including food and local transport. You will also be able to interact with the communities where we carry out our projects

Training during the activity

You will receive training which will cover topics such as: induction to Alianza por la Solidaridad, induction to the European Solidarity Corps, responsibilities and rights of the organisations and of the volunteer, Youthpass, Henner insurance and SHEA. In addition, you will learn about communication within a social organization in the field and receive specific training on feminist leadership, communication for transformation, among other topics.

Participant profile

We are looking for a person eager to learn and work in a team and able to adapt to the context. Basic knowledge of communication and project management. Familiarity with Web 2.0 applications and new technologies (social media, websites, blogs) as well as online tools for creating graphic materials. A minimum of elementary-level Spanish is required.
