Dive25: Digital Inclusion for a Vibrant Environment
Adamastor - Associação Cultural
Viseu, Portugal
Description
DIVE25 is a European Solidarity Corps project hosted by Adamastor in Viseu, Portugal, designed to empower young people through a dynamic blend of digital inclusion, civic engagement, environmental action, and cultural diversity. The project runs throughout 2025 and brings together local and international volunteers committed to shaping a more inclusive, sustainable, and participatory Europe. Guided by the EU Youth Goals, DIVE25 responds to today’s most pressing challenges—social inequality, climate change, and digital exclusion—by creating opportunities for young people to act, learn, and lead in their communities. Through non-formal education and solidarity-based activities, the project aims to foster critical thinking, environmental responsibility, and democratic participation.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation for volunteers is available at the Viseu Youth Hostel, providing a comfortable and social environment for participants. At the beginning of each month, volunteers receive an allocated amount for food expenses, as determined by the European Solidarity Corps program. This enables them to manage their own meals throughout the month. In addition to accommodation and food, the program covers travel expenses, including round-trip transportation, allowing participants to fully focus on their roles without financial worries.
Training during the activity
During DIVE25, volunteers receive on-arrival training covering ESC, Youthpass, Portuguese culture, and team-building. They engage in thematic workshops on inclusion, participation, digital skills, and sustainability. Ongoing mentoring supports personal growth, with regular reflection sessions and a mid-term evaluation. At the end, volunteers complete a Youthpass process to recognize and document their learning outcomes for future opportunities.
Participant profile
The ideal volunteer for the Dive25 project is a motivated young person aged between 18 and 30, eager to engage in social and community-based activities. They should be open-minded, adaptable, and passionate about solidarity, inclusion, and cultural exchange. Prior volunteering experience is not required, but the volunteer should have a willingness to learn, develop transversal skills (such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving), and contribute positively to the community. A strong interest in personal development, gaining new experiences, and becoming an active agent of change is essential. Additionally, the volunteer should be flexible, empathetic, and ready to work in a diverse, multicultural environment, collaborating with people from different backgrounds. An interest in local culture and European solidarity is a plus.
