Description
The project aims to raise tolerance, break stereotypes and promote understanding among cultures. During the project “Values, Virtues, Integrity” Foundation will host in Sofia, Bulgaria seven international volunteers and one in-country volunteer between 18 and 30 years old starting from September 13th 2025 to October 23th 2025 The "Colours of Solidarity 2.0" project is targeting young people with fewer opportunities, in order to promote diversity taking into account the characteristics of each country, cultural and interreligious dialogue of the common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights. Main activities:Support the hosting organization in the process of organizing a festival in a "Borisova garden"city park in Sofia with a variety of artistic workshops for the local community; Support facilitators in delivering art and crafts workshops for young people ( no previous experience in arts needed); Organise city games and cleaning actions for the local community.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Food and Accommodation The volunteers will live in a shared apartment with other volunteers with shared living room, kitchen, laundry and social facilities. Food will be covered for the whole volunteering period. Pocket money Each volunteer will receive pocket money - 7€ per day for the 45 days of the project. Travel is covered by the project. The travel amounts should be reimbursed up to a limit, depending on the distance between the sending and hosting countries according to the European Distance Calculator.
Training during the activity
The "Colours of Solidarity 2.0" project is proud to offer training opportunities for volunteers to learn the skills necessary to organize events and facilitate art workshops. Training Objectives: Learn the principles of event planning and organization Develop skills in facilitating art workshops and activities Understand the importance of community engagement and social cohesion Build confidence in leading and facilitating events and workshops Volunteers will take part in an on-arrival and pre-departure trainings facilitated by the hosting organisation.
Participant profile
The project is open for young people facing all kinds of obstacles. The volunteering experience does not require participants to possess any specific skills and/or education. Since the hosting organization is intensively applying arts in social inclusion projects, we will highly appreciate volunteers who love arts and would like to develop in that field. The experience within the project would be quite suitable for proactive, extroverted young people with background or interest in social work. The volunteers need to understand English on a working level as it will be the official language of the project. The project aims to support the personal development of the volunteers in order to help them in developing crucial skills and competences for becoming active citizens of Europe. Applicants from Turkey can be selected only if they have a Green passport.
