Description
Organize various educational and leisure activities for young people between 13 and 18 years old, with particular attention to the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in the youth center of Gyumri (with possibility of working in a second youth center as well near Gyumri) such as artistic activities (e.g. art, music, crafts), cultural activities (e.g. language, cultural presentations), thematic workshops, sport activities, and Youth Day event, finalizing with a public celebration on August 12th 2025 (promotion of Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps programme, presentation of European culture, history, cuisine, etc.).
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The participants will be hosted in the city of Gyumri in fully equipped individual apartments shared between two or three volunteers. Volunteers will receive 6 EUR per day for pocket money and 5 EUR per day for food allowance to cover the cost of food during their volunteer mission. The volunteers will be responsible for the preparation of their own meals: the apartments are all equipped with a kitchen, fridge and everything needed for cooking (pots, pans etc.). Travel costs covered up to 500 euros.
Training during the activity
Opportunity to learn about Armenian history and language.
Participant profile
Participants must be: - between 18 and 30 years old. - from: Italy, France, Ukraine, Poland and Armenia. - interested in non-formal education and youth work. - flexible and with a great spirit of adaptation to new contexts with deep cultural differences. - able to work in a team. - interested in working with children and teenagers. - highly respectful of the local culture and religion (including dress code and conduct). We are looking for someone active, creative and enthusiastic! Participants must hold a valid passport to enter Armenia.
