SOLIDARITES JEUNESSES MCP

ASSOCIATION DU CENTRE DE BEAUMOTTE

BEAUMOTTE AUBERTANS, France

Description

Join us for a volunteer experience where learning, cooperation, and openness to others are at the heart of each day. Nestled in the countryside, you will live alongside young people from across Europe and around the world, all with diverse backgrounds but united by a shared desire to contribute to a common project. Here, every action has meaning, and every moment is a chance to grow together. Through sharing and mutual support, we turn our differences into a true source of richness! The Beaumotte Center is a vibrant and dynamic place that welcomes people from all walks of life every year. It is a space for learning and creativity where everyone can contribute. In this workcamp, you will explore the basics of carpentry through two concrete projects: the construction of a clothing-sharing space to promote solidarity and reuse, and the reorganization of a material storage area as part of a practical and sustainable approach to resource management.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will be hosted at our association in a shared two-level dormitory. You will sleep in bunk beds, with mixed gender and nationality accommodation. Please bring enough clothes and essentials, there is no washing machine on site. Wi-Fi is limited to one room and only available at specific times. This helps us create an atmosphere that prioritizes authentic and human connection! You will take turns cooking in our professional kitchen, always with support from a team leader. Your group will be actively involved in collective life: kitchen, cleaning, gardening/animal care teams, etc.

Training during the activity

Guided by our team, you will learn how to use various carpentry tools and techniques. You will also participate in daily collective tasks (cooking, cleaning, maintaining shared spaces), in a spirit of cooperation, respect, and conviviality. It will also be an opportunity to discover an alternative place that explores different ways of living and organizing collectively.
