Description

Over one year, ESC participants (young people) will co-lead English classes, digital workshops, and intercultural youth clubs; plan diversity fairs and inclusion campaigns; and support assessments and YouthPass evaluations promoting integration, skills development, and empowerment in line with EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027 objectives.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Over one year, ESC participants will stay at a 3-bedroom accommodation (11 Fair St, Mallow, Cork, P51 CTF8, Ireland), and food and transport are covered by the European Union through Léargas under the European Solidarity Corps 2021-2027, Grant No. 2024-2-IE01-ESC51-VTJ-000288456 (€73,414.00).

Training during the activity

During this opportunity, ESC participants will receive comprehensive training in non-formal education, health and safety, ESC, organizational policies and procedures, Garda Vetting, English language support, intercultural communication, digital skills, project planning, documenting sessions, research on diversity groups, & YouthPass training. They will also develop soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and community outreach. Ongoing mentorship, as well as on-arrival and mid-term training sessions under the ESC framework, will support ethical practice & professional growth in youthwork

Participant profile

We are looking for motivated young people aged 18–30 from Ireland, Morocco, and Georgia, including individuals with fewer opportunities (e.g., economic, social, educational, cultural, or geographical obstacles). Ideal participants are open-minded, eager to engage in intercultural learning, and interested in youth work, digital skills, and non-formal education. No prior experience is required just a willingness to learn, contribute, and follow ESC values of solidarity, inclusion, and active citizenship.
