Description

Calling Nature-Loving Volunteers! Are you passionate about working with children and spending your days outdoors? Join us in Lithuania as a long-term volunteer in a forest kindergarten, where learning happens in the heart of nature! You’ll support children aged 2–3 or 4–7 during their daily adventures—helping with routines, going on forest hikes, and leading creative, playful activities. This is a unique chance to connect with young minds, explore natural education, and experience the changing seasons up close. If you’re curious, caring, and ready for muddy boots and magical moments—this is for you!

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared apartment in Ukmergė, together with other volunteers. Transportation to the forest kindergarten will be arranged either by a shared volunteer car or by joining the team’s daily commute. Volunteers will receive monthly food allowance, and during working hours, healthy vegetarian meals will be provided at the kindergarten. All essential living and transport costs are covered to ensure a comfortable and enriching volunteering experience.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will take part in On-Arrival and Mid-Term Trainings organized by the National Agency, focusing on intercultural learning, project goals, and personal development. Additionally, support organization will provide a Youth Leaders Training, covering topics such as group dynamics, outdoor education, and basic scout skills. Volunteers will also participate in monthly reflection and support meetings, creating space to share experiences, receive guidance, and grow both personally and as part of a team.

Participant profile

We are looking for someone who is curious about working with children and eager to experience daily life in a forest kindergarten. This opportunity is ideal for those who are considering a future in education, early childhood development, or outdoor pedagogy. An interest in nature-based learning, creativity, and spending time outdoors in all seasons is essential. No formal experience is required—just an open mind, a caring attitude, and a willingness to learn.
