Description

Join a meaningful long-term volunteering opportunity at Kaunas Waldorf School in Lithuania! As a volunteer, you will support children’s learning both in the classroom and during after-school activities. Your tasks may include assisting teachers, helping children with special needs, and leading or co-leading creative, artistic, or movement-based sessions. This is a great chance to explore the Waldorf educational approach, develop experience in a supportive school environment, and contribute to a community that values holistic, child-centered learning. Volunteers will be guided by experienced staff and encouraged to bring their own ideas and talents into the process.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will live in a shared apartment within walking distance of the school, making the daily commute easy and environmentally friendly. A monthly food allowance will be provided. There is also an option to purchase fresh, healthy meals at the school canteen, which is known for its high-quality and nutritious food as wel as good prices.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will take part in On-Arrival and Mid-Term Trainings organized by the National Agency, focusing on intercultural learning, project goals, and personal development. Additionally support organization will provide a Youth Leaders Training, covering topics such as group dynamics, lydership and other non formal skills. Volunteers will also participate in monthly reflection and support meetings, creating space to share experiences, receive guidance, and grow both personally and as part of a team.
