Description

This project brings together European youth and local children at Mamak Youth Center through shared activities. Volunteers will support the summer camp by leading English speaking clubs, workshops, and interactive sessions. Activities may also take place in themed areas like sports, music, or coding rooms, offering a chance to engage with local youth while experiencing Turkish culture. All activities will be hosted at Mamak Youth Center. The center offers a dynamic environment with access to facilities such as sports areas, music and arts rooms, and IT classrooms. Activities will primarily serve children and youth from migrant or economically disadvantaged backgrounds, aiming to foster inclusion, creativity, and personal development.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Female volunteers stay in a furnished shared flat with 5 double rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, balconies, and all essential appliances. Male volunteers stay in twin rooms at Hitit Hotel (breakfast included). A bus stop is 3 minutes away with regular transport to the city center. All accommodation and utility costs are covered. Daily transport to Mamak Youth Center is reimbursed. Volunteers receive €5/day for food and €5/day as pocket money.
