European Solidarity Corps

The power of together

Team Volunteering in Arousa Moza 2025

Asociación Arousa Moza

VILAGARCÍA DE AROUSA, Spain

Description

This volunteering project offers young people the opportunity to engage in solidarity activities that foster personal growth, intercultural learning, and community impact. Volunteers will collaborate in teams and individually, contributing to initiatives that promote inclusion, diversity, environmental sustainability, and active citizenship. Through hands-on experiences, participants will gain new skills, broaden their perspectives, and bring back innovative ideas to their local communities. The project emphasizes green practices, respect for EU values, and encourages youth participation in democratic life. Volunteers will also support daily office tasks, help manage social media, and their knowledge of Spanish and painting skills will be considered an asset. It is designed to empower participants, support their development, and create long-lasting positive changes for both them and the hosting community.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Participants will be accommodated in shared flats located in the city center, close to the workplace. Each volunteer will have either a single room or share a double room with another participant. The apartments are fully equipped to ensure a comfortable stay. Volunteers will receive a monthly allowance consisting of pocket money and food support to cover personal expenses, meals, and daily needs. Local transport costs are fully covered, and to encourage sustainable mobility, volunteers will also have access to the municipal bike service, making it easier to move around the city.

Training during the activity

Throughout the project, volunteers will receive continuous mentoring and guidance to support their personal and professional growth. They will take part in specific trainings designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed for their tasks and to ensure a meaningful learning experience. This support will help them develop key competences, gain confidence in their work, and make the most of their volunteering journey.

Participant profile

We’re looking for enthusiastic young people (18–30) who want to be part of a meaningful experience, contribute to the local community, and share daily life in an intercultural environment. You don’t need specific experience — what matters most is your curiosity to learn, your commitment, and your willingness to get involved with others. As a volunteer, you’ll join trainings and receive mentoring to help you grow and make the most of your time here. We value open-mindedness, teamwork, and an interest in topics like inclusion, diversity, sustainability, and active citizenship. Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are excited to bring their own ideas. If you’d like to propose workshops or activities — whether they’re about art, sports, culture, or any other area you feel passionate about — we’d love to hear them! Any initiative that can enrich our association and engage people of different ages will be positively welcomed. Together, we can create spaces that encourage creativity, well-being, and stronger community connections, while living the European values of respect, equality, and solidarity.
