Description
The CEMEA is an educational center that offers training and seminars to people working in education and animation. It involves intervention and supervision of activities for various audiences: children (during school time or after school), young people, adults, elderly people, isolated people, etc. The volunteers are encouraged to worked on various mission such as : • activities around digital technology and media: using a computer, stop motion, web radio, raising awareness of current issues on the use of social networks and screens, etc. • training sessions on subjects such as: harassment, gender equality, discrimination, etc. •socializing times with isolated audiences: games, discussions, outings, etc. • The Terrains d’Aventures are urban adventure playgrounds for young people. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
There are two types of accommodation: The CEMEA owns an apartment where two of the volunteers are going to live together. This apartment is situated fifteen minutes away from the CEMEA. The other two will live in „Les Hortensias“, an intergenerational home that welcomes students as well as elderly people. There, the volunteers will have their own flat each. The accommodation is located at 10 minutes by foot from the CEMEA and 3 minutes walking from the tram, which brings you to the city center in 20 minutes. Volunteers will have monthly tickets for public transport illimited.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will be able to take part in various training by the CEMEA. These courses include: BAFA (Allows you to supervise children and young people) PSC1 (First Aid) Intercultural education Laïcité. Anti-discrimination, deconstruction of stereotypes and prejudices.
Participant profile
No diploma neither language level is required. The motivation of the volunteer will be determined in our choice. The volunteer will have to explain in his/her motivation letter his/her wish to learn, to take initiative and to create projects with the different target groups. Working experience with one of the different target groups is a bonus, especially when it comes to elderly people.
