Haciendo Barrio IV
VIAJE A LA SOSTENIBILIDAD S.Coop Pequeña
Zaragoza, Spain
Description
Join us in Zaragoza for a unique volunteering experience! You’ll grow personally while contributing to positive change in the multicultural neighborhood of San Pablo. We’re looking for 2 motivated volunteers for 11 months to support local and international projects. Most of your time will be spent supporting local activities such as the Bicycle Workshop – mechanics, excursions, and youth activities (no experience needed), Jugueteka – toy library, Armario Abierto – free second-hand clothes shop, and Cosiendo Redes – sewing workshop for migrant women. You will also have the opportunity to support and learn through our international projects, including youth exchanges and training courses. Basic Spanish is a plus but not mandatory. Tasks will be tailored to your skills and interests to ensure a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You’ll have your own room in a shared flat —a great way to live independently while still having company and support. Each month you’ll receive food money and pocket money straight to your bank account. To get around, you’ll have a bike for the duration of the project (and since most things are close by, you can also just walk!).
Training during the activity
At the start of the project, you’ll receive an introduction to our organization and some basic training for your role. Don’t worry—you don’t need to know everything in advance! Our team will guide you and provide extra training whenever needed. You’ll also take part in On-Arrival and Mid-Term training courses organized by the National Agency, where you’ll meet volunteers from all over Spain, share experiences, and make new friends.
Participant profile
We are looking for young people aged 20 to 30 who are motivated, open-minded, and have a basic knowledge of Spanish. Participants should be genuinely interested in supporting social initiatives and working with diverse communities. The ideal volunteers understand that solidarity is about helping others based on their needs, rather than solely seeking personal experience. They are curious, willing to learn, and eager to contribute actively to both local and international projects, growing personally while making a positive impact on the community.
