Description
Familles Rurales is a network of associations, proposing many different activities for the inhabitants of the rural territories. Familles Rurales Vendée is supporting the Familles Rurales local associations in the Vendée territory.
The European Volunteer will:
- support the Familles Rurales team in recreational activities for young people
- lead unformal education activities (games, workshops, etc.) on the themes of European Union, citizenship and ecological transition ;
- participate in key events organised by the Familles Rurales local associations (general meetings, celebrations, family events, etc.)
- make a list of the existing Familles Rurales toolkits (circus activities, wooden toys, healthy food, etc.) and contribute to improve and update them
- create communication tools (short videos, newsletters, user guides,...)
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Travel expenses and accommodation will be covered. The volunteer will live in a youth worker residence in La Roche sur Yon. He/She will be in a single room with bathroom and toilet and have free access to a shared kitchen).
The volunteer will receive a food allowance of 200 € /month and pocket money (8 € per day). He/she will also get public transport cards for his/her travels in La Roche-sur-Yon. La Roche sur Yon is located in the west of France, near Nantes city and the Atlantic sea.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will participate in a week seminar at the beginning of his/her volunteering (on arrival training) with other ESC volunteers in France. He/she will have a second seminar in the middle of his/her volunteering.
Participant profile
• Interest in unformal education, European Union and environment.
• Creativity, dynamism and capacity of initiative.
• Independence and rigour in organising work.
• Good relational skills and a taste for teamwork.
• Speaking French would be a plus
• Driving licence would be a plus.
