Communication for Social Inclusion
Fundación Escuela de Solidaridad
Sierra Elvira, Atarfe. Granada., Spain
Description
The volunteer will support the organization’s communication and visibility work, helping to document and share the daily life of the foundation. Tasks include creating social media content, taking photos and videos, writing short articles for the foundation’s daily journal, and designing materials for campaigns and internal communication. In addition to communication-related tasks, the volunteer will also participate in the foundation’s daily activities connected to social inclusion — such as community events, workshops, and activities with residents. Creativity, empathy, and teamwork are essential, as well as basic skills in digital communication or design. This role combines technical learning with meaningful social engagement, promoting human connection and inclusive storytelling.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers are hosted in a shared house located within the foundation. Rooms are shared with other volunteer, encouraging community life and cultural exchange. Breakfast and lunch are provided collectively during the week, while dinners and weekend meals are self-managed. There is no weekly cleaning service; household tasks are shared among residents. Local transport costs related to project activities are covered, while personal expenses remain the volunteer’s responsibility.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive ongoing learning and guidance through non-formal education methods. They will be introduced to the foundation’s work in social inclusion and supported step by step in their daily tasks. Regular mentoring sessions, reflection meetings, and intercultural exchanges promote both personal and professional growth. Volunteers may also join local or European workshops to develop communication, creativity, and teamwork skills useful for their future paths.
Participant profile
We are looking for a motivated and creative volunteer interested in communication, social inclusion, and community life. The ideal participant enjoys photography, writing, or social media and wants to use these tools to tell meaningful stories. Sensitivity, empathy, and teamwork are essential, as well as an interest in working alongside people from diverse backgrounds. Basic knowledge of English or Spanish is required. The volunteer should be open-minded, flexible, and eager to learn in an intercultural and socially engaged environment.
