Description
This project aims to bring young people to Poznań - lively student city, for a month full of creativity, cultural exchange, and community support during the pre-holiday season! Volunteers will take part in organizing workshops, cultural presentations and small festive events that combine tradition, creativity, and social inclusion, while engaging all generations - kids, youth and seniors. *If you want your application to be processed, please apply also throught this form: https://forms.gle/1t4LYE7jBB3duEBq8 Our mission is to create a more inclusive and tolerant society by addressing issues such as discrimination, marginalization, and inequality. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be acommodated in double or tripple rooms in student dormitory, with one bathroom per 2 rooms and common kitchen on every floor. Pocket money and food allowance are provided according to ESC rates. Travel costs are reimbursed after the project ends, according to ESC guideliness. Every volunteer receives a local transport card to move around the city. Program insurance is provided. Loundry in dormitory is available.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will have the opportunity to share their experience, take part in mentoring sessions, be engaged in activities with kids and youth with different backgrounds - refugees and migrants. Volunteers will learn effective communication, time management, workshops designing, promoting understanding and intercultural cooperation, engaging in social media campaigns creation, events management, logistics, internal trenings designing, implementing vibrant cultural events and photo-documenting our activities. Understanding the NGO structures, strategy and work. Immersing in Polish culture.
Participant profile
Aged 18–30 and resident in an EU or ESC partner country. Communicative level of English. Open-minded, creative, proactive, ready to work in a team and share responsibilities. Motivated to help others, learn and share the experience. No previous experience required :) *NOTE: If you are willing to work with kids, you're obligated to provide us with no criminal record documentation, as required by Polish law.*
