Volunteering For a Better World

Asociatia Voluntariatul pentru Toti

Resita, Romania

Description

Volunteering within our project involves engaging in daily non-formal educational, child-centered activities for children and young people from day centers, schools for kids with special needs, nurseries, primary schools, after-school programs, and kindergartens in disadvantaged areas of Reșița (Calnic), Bocșa, Dognecea, and Ocna de Fier. Volunteers will help facilitate learning experiences that foster tolerance, inclusion, and social skills. Additionally, we organize cultural and volunteering activities that promote values such as solidarity and voluntary work, and encourage positive interaction within the community. During the summer, volunteers will take part as team members in short-term projects, wearing personalized t-shirts, where they will have the opportunity to lead teams and help facilitate team-building activities, allowing them to improve their leadership and collaboration skills.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be accommodated in a rented apartment or house, in either single or shared double bedrooms. The accommodation will be fully equipped with all necessary amenities to ensure comfortable living conditions, including access to a kitchen, bathroom, and communal living space. All housing costs, including rent and utilities (water, gas, electricity), will be fully covered by the hosting NGO. Additionally, the NGO will provide support for local transportation, as well as daily allowances for food and personal expenses. 4 EUR/day as pocket money 5 EUR/day as a food allowance.

Training during the activity

The training will be provided by the Romanian National Agency. Volunteers will participate in an On-Arrival Training held online, and a Mid-Term Training conducted in person in Bucharest.
