ESC Volunteering Project in a Social Cooperative – Sandrigo (Italy) Duration: 335 days Starting period: Mid of January 2026 📌 About the project Join us in a meaningful volunteering experience in the northern Italy! Hosted by a social cooperative in Sandrigo (Vicenza), this long-term ESC project offers young people the chance to engage in inclusive, community-based activities that promote solidarity, personal growth and social change. As a volunteer, you will be involved in daily activities supporting: - People with intellectual disabilities in educational centres - Elderly people through social daily centres - Children through creative, outdoor and intercultural activities in schools or summer centres You will work side-by-side with experienced educators, contribute to building a more inclusive society.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The project involves a total of 6 ESC volunteers, who will live together in a shared apartment, which includes: -3 bedrooms (1 single room, 1 double room, 1 triple room) -2 bathrooms -1 living room and a fully equipped kitchen - large outdoor terrace The arrival and return are reimbursed up to €309 in total. All transport costs related to project activities are covered. Each volunteer receives: - A monthly food allowance - The standard ESC pocket money (in line with the ESC funding rules for Italy)
Training during the activity
Throughout the project, the volunteer will receive several trainings to ensure a meaningful and supported experience: -A pre-departure training organized by the sending organization in the volunteer’s home country -An on-arrival and mid-term training provided by the National Agency in Italy, together with other ESC volunteers from across the country -A safety and orientation training provided by the hosting organization -An Italian language course, to support integration into the local community
Participant profile
We are looking for a motivated, open-minded and socially engaged young person who is interested in working with people of different ages and abilities, and who wants to contribute to a more inclusive and caring society. No specific professional experience is required — what matters most is your willingness to learn, empathy, and team spirit. The ideal volunteer: -Is between 18 and 30 years old -Is curious, flexible and ready to adapt to a new environment -Enjoys spending time with others and has a genuine interest in social work, especially with: people with intellectual disabilities, elderly people, chilren, Is willing to actively participate in both the activities and the life of the hosting community, Is comfortable living and sharing space with other international volunteers, Has at least a basic level of English (Italian is not required — language support will be provided!) Above all, we welcome people who are respectful, responsible, and open to personal and intercultural growth.
