Volunteer in Zentrale – Youth and International Office
UNTERNEHMERGESELLSCHAFT HAFTUNGSBESCHRANKT ROTER BAUM BERLIN
Berlin, Germany
Description
As a volunteer, you will join the team of the Zentrale – Youth and International Office, which develops and implements international projects in Berlin (and occasionally abroad) within the Erasmus+ programme. The office focuses on non-formal education in an intercultural context, offering young people in Berlin the chance to connect with other cultures, broaden their perspectives, and learn beyond traditional frameworks. You will be involved in the entire project cycle: generating ideas for workshops and educational programmes, helping to design coherent plans for young participants, and contributing to both direct activities and office tasks. Your responsibilities will range from drafting reports and project narratives, to supporting logistics, dissemination, and creative outputs such as flyers, videos, or social media content. https://roter-baum.berlin/international/open-calls/ https://roter-baum.berlin/international/
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
We provide an apartment very close to the project. You will have your own bedroom and shared common spaces with other volunteers. It will be provided with the equipment for comfortable living such as a complete kitchen, full bedroom and home furniture, central heating and Wi-Fi. For meal during work, you will have the opportunity to use the kitchen in office. A monthly grant of money about 500€ will be given (including food, transportation (monthly ticket for public transport in the city) and pocket money). You will have an option to use a bike as well.
Training during the activity
You will be offered annual access to the Online Linguistic Support platform to improve your German skills. An option to attend a language school course may be offered during the year (two courses). You will participate in an On-arrival and Mid-term training seminar, organised by the German National Agency. Also, we will offer you support during the volunteer year, with meetings with your mentor. Also, the staff of the project will provide extra support and will guide you more specifically throughout the daily activities.
Participant profile
