Stichting UcDean
Chișinău, Moldova
Description
ADVIT Moldova is a non-political, non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering youth through international exchange, voluntary service, and cultural understanding. ADVIT works together with multiple organisations that support refugees. These organisations are looking for passionate volunteers that want to help and empower people in need. Tasks include, among others: 1) assisting with food package distribution and warehouse organisation, 2) help organise and facilitate workshops, events, and community activities, 3) share professional skills (legal, educational, psychological, technical, creative) and 4) organise activities for children and teach language lessons for refugees. The starting dates and project duration of all projects are flexible.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers are accommodated in shared apartments together with other international or local volunteers. Each volunteer has their own private room, while the kitchen, bathroom, and common spaces are shared. The apartments are of a comfortable, middle-class standard and located in safe areas of Chișinău. Volunteers receive a monthly food allowance, which allows them to buy and prepare their own meals. In some cases, they may also eat at the organisation during project activities. Additionally, the volunteers will receive a transport allowance to cover daily commuting costs.
Training during the activity
The volunteers receive support and guidance from a supervisor and will participate in a pre-departure and on-arrival training.
Participant profile
We are open to hosting volunteers from diverse backgrounds. No specific qualifications are required — motivation, openness, and interest in the project’s topic are most important. We encourage volunteers whose interests align with the project’s goals, but adaptability and a willingness to learn are key. We only accept volunteers from the Netherlands (nationality or resident).
