Description

The volunteer will be part of the team about to implement the sport and educational programme at Red Deporte. For more information, please visit www.redeporte.org Main activities and responsibilities: - Assisting the Educational Coordinator in all tasks related to the promotion and development of youth and the community through sports. - Conducting conventional training sessions and sports activities, as well as those using a "sport for development" approach. - Developing recreational and educational activities outside of the sports environment. - Monitoring and reporting the educational programs. - Participating in training sessions and workshops, both as an attendee and as an instructor. - In general, all logistical and operational tasks necessary for the implementation of sports and educational activities.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will seek their own accomodation and transport, covered by the programme. Red Deporte will provide basic support to find accomodation. Transport card in Madrid is 10 euros monthly for U26

Training during the activity

The volunteer will attend several trainings, appart from the compulsory provided by the EU, which consist in two trainings (in two different weeks) in a certain city of Spain, depending on each year.

Participant profile

We are seeking for volunteers who enjoy and have a good organizational level, when carrying out sport and leisure time based programmes in the community. • Bachelor's degree or related studies in education, sports, or social and community intervention. • Courses such as Leisure and Recreation Monitor or Sports Coach. • At least 3 months of experience in educational activities such as camps, sports programs, or activities in community centers. • Skills such as communication and leadership in carrying out sports and educational activities. • Negotiation and dialogue skills (with young people, families, and the community). • Flexibility and adaptability to challenging multicultural contexts. • Ability to analyze and prepare reports and technical materials. • Motivation and enthusiasm. • Solidarity and a spirit of volunteerism. • Social skills and ability to work in a team. • Creativity in conflict resolution.
