Volunteering in youth shelter with minors

NO BORDERS

Diapason Coop soc arl onlus

Monza, Italy

Description

Established in 1985, Diapason Cooperative works to positively influence the lives of young people aged 12–18 who have been temporarily separated from their families due to social or economic difficulties. The shelter hosts between 10 and 15 minors at a time. The Diapason team is committed to sharing key principles of social work with ESC volunteers, helping them learn how to collaborate effectively, strengthen organizational abilities, improve communication, and develop problem-solving skills. As a volunteer, you will take part in everyday activities such as workshops, sports, games, and moments of social interaction, as well as assist with the organization and preparation of these activities. We are looking for motivated volunteers who are not only willing to help, but also excited to learn, grow, and challenge themselves through a meaningful experience.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

As a volunteer, you will LIVE in the shelter in Monza city, fully immersing yourself in its environment.🏠 For legal responsibility, a strict door CUREFEW at 22:00 is enforced. You'll have your own private room and bathroom. The living room and kitchen will be shared with shelter residents. To ensure your comfort, the hosting organization provides three meals a day. Plus 60€/month for the food on the days off. You’ll also receive €6/day as pocket money (paid monthly). Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to European Commission.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will participate in various trainings related to European Solidarity Corps.
