Fundación Escuela de Solidaridad
Granada, Spain
Description
We are looking for a volunteer with a strong interest in communication and storytelling for social change. The ideal participant is creative, proactive, and motivated to use tools such as photography, video, writing, or social media to communicate the organization’s daily work and social impact. Sensitivity to ethical communication, respect for privacy, and the ability to represent vulnerable contexts with care are essential. Basic skills in digital communication or design are expected, along with openness to teamwork, flexibility, and interest in social inclusion and intercultural environments.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers are hosted in a shared house located within the foundation. Rooms are shared with other volunteers, encouraging community life and cultural exchange. Breakfast and lunch are provided collectively during the week, while dinners and weekend meals are self-managed. There is no weekly cleaning service; household tasks are shared among residents. Local transport costs related to project activities are covered, while personal expenses remain the volunteer’s responsibility.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive ongoing learning and guidance through non-formal education methods. They will be introduced to the foundation’s work in social inclusion and supported step by step in their daily tasks. Regular mentoring sessions, reflection meetings, and intercultural exchanges promote both personal and professional growth. Volunteers may also join local or European workshops to develop communication, creativity, and teamwork skills useful for their future paths.
