Social campaigning for Europe
Bildungsnetzwerk Magdeburg gGmbH
Magdeburg, Germany
Description
If you are interested in developing campaigns, want to further develop your digital skills and create various materials promoting European opportunities and values, this project is just for you! During your stay at the European Youth Education Centre Magdeburg (EJBM), together with up to 20 other young people, you'll support our team in developing and improving campaigning materials – digital and analog – on Europe, the European Union, human rights, and European values and opportunities for young people. Together with other volunteers you will learn from each other and create final products, which will be afterwards used by the EJBM team during future activities. Your own experiences, skills, ideas, and creativity are highly valued – they are an essential contribution to shaping our educational work. The European Youth Education Centre Magdeburg is the primary address for international youth work in Saxony-Anhalt.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms with up to four people (towels and sheets are provided) at our facility. Since our facility is available to external groups all year long, the living arrangements can be subject to change. Food and accommodation are fully covered. Volunteers will be provided with 3 meals a day prepared by our kitchen staff. On free days, a budget for food will be provided. Additionally, pocket money of 7 € per day will be provided. Travel expenses will be reimbursed based on the traveling distance according to the Erasmus+ rates.
Training during the activity
During their stay at the EJBM volunteers will receive some guidance and support from the pedagogical staff as well as our long-term volunteers, i.e. team building upon arrival or reflection elements during their stay. The EJBM team will be there to explain the tasks and responsibilities, as well as available to answer any questions that may arise. Our work and approach rely heavily on the peer-to-peer principle. During their stay, the volunteers are expected to work independently and support each other in executing the assigned tasks. The volunteers will learn from each other.
